Above all, the center is the first cultural building to exist in Darb ellabbana. We were the first ones to set foot in the area and start implementing our vision through our program. So, it’s almost as if the center attracted all other organizations to co-exist and have their share in developing Darb ellabbana.
Did you face any challenges concerning the operation of the center?
One of the major challenges was that since the center is a non-profit organization so the people participating are always changeable. To clarify, people who come and volunteer in the activities and programs that the center offers are never constant. In addition to that, I have to say that I’m the one funding the place. So, I’m paying for it to run in every aspect, from the rental fee to electricity, guarding and cleaning. It’s also worth mentioning that if any revenue comes, it directly goes to help the residents of Darb ellabbana district.
